Farmers State Bank Announces Promotions
Pittsfield, Illinois — Nevin Grigsby, President of Farmers State Bank in Pittsfield, IL, is proud to announce the following promotions within Farmers State Bank:
Amber Martin has been promoted to Vice President, Deposit Operations
Amber started her journey with Farmers State Bank 13 years ago as an intern and part-time teller. After finishing her Bachelor’s Degree at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, she joined the bank full-time and has worked in various roles on the deposit side of the bank, increasing her knowledge and responsibility on both the front-line and back-house sides of deposit operations.
Amber’s experience and contributions to various committees throughout the bank, along with her management oversight of Deposits and Central Services, make her highly qualified for this Vice President promotion.
Amber is a Pittsfield High School graduate and resides in Pittsfield with her husband, Stason, and their two sons, Ashton, and Zane. She also serves on the Pittsfield Park Board and is the PTO President at South Elementary School.
“Amber’s experience with both the front-side and back-side of deposit operations, along with her proven management ability and dedication to our organization, have solidified her appointment to this position,” said Grigsby. “Amber’s ability to connect with employees and customers at all levels has played a large role in moving our company forward and will play an increasingly important role in the Bank’s future.”
Katie Gregory has been promoted to Fair Lending Officer & Commercial Loan Processor
Katie started with Farmers State Bank in 2013 and has served in multiple positions and departments, including deposits, marketing, and the loan department. Over the past six years, Katie has become a subject matter expert on commercial loans and a go-to resource for customers and staff alike. In addition to loan processing, Katie oversees various committees and processes within the loan department, including quality assurance, making her an obvious choice for Fair Lending Officer.
Katie has a Bachelor of Science degree from Illinois College and a Master of Arts Degree from U of I at Springfield. She lives in Winchester with her husband, Yancey, and their three children, Carson, Evynn, and Henry.
Danielle Howland has been promoted to Executive Client Manager
Danielle started with Farmers State Bank in 2013 and has continued to grow and develop in various roles, specifically within sales and client management. With this new role, she will serve as a strategic partner and advisor to clients, overseeing and managing their relationship and assets.
Danielle graduated from Pittsfield High school, has a degree from John Wood Community College, and has graduated from the Accredited Banking Professionals Program. She lives in Pike County with her husband Kshe and their three boys, Brody, Beckham, and Brooks. She also serves as a Rotarian for the Pike County Rotary Club.
Gina Sheurman has been promoted to Human Resources & Compliance System Manager
Since 2016, Gina has managed the Marketing Department, specifically, leading the implementation and ongoing management of the customer engagement and retention program. Over the past two years, Gina has taken on additional responsibilities and transitioned to a management role in HR. Within the organization, she serves on the Strategic Planning Committee, Audit Committee, Compliance Committee and Culture Committee. In June, the Board of Directors appointed Gina as the new Compliance System Manager. She will further develop and oversee our bank-wide compliance management system. In addition to her new role as Compliance System Manager, Gina is also the Human Resources Manager, where she works one-on-one with managers and employees to provide excellent internal customer service.
Gina has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Quincy University, where she graduated magna cum laude. She is a Payson High School graduate and currently resides in Griggsville. Gina is married to Corey Sheurman, and they have two children, Dalton, and Mariska. She is also a Board of Director for the John Wood Community College Foundation and a member of the Griggsville Perry Athletic Boosters.
Abby Whewell has been promoted to Marketing Director, Client Experience Officer
Abby has been with Farmers State Bank for three years, serving as the Client Experience Manager. She has been promoted to Marketing Director, Client Experience Officer. With Abby’s experience in marketing and customer service, the transition to her oversight of all marketing and client experience responsibilities will be a seamless one. Abby serves on various committees within the organization; and since joining the team in 2019, she has spearheaded various customer-centric initiatives and programs. Abby’s resourcefulness, passion, and communication skills make her a clear choice for Marketing Director, Client Experience Officer.
She is a Winchester High School graduate and has a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Illinois. She resides in Murrayville with her husband, Brandon and serves as a Rotarian for the Pike County Rotary club.
Lindsay Meyer, Jerseyville Branch Supervisor
Lindsay has been promoted to Jerseyville Branch Supervisor. She has been with Farmers State Bank since 2019 and continues to prove her leadership and management abilities. She has taken on many new responsibilities over the past year and represents our company well. Community involvement is extremely important to Lindsay, and she is excited to expand our footprint and further serve the Jersey County area.
Lindsay is a graduate of Jersey Community High School and has an Associate’s Degree from Lewis and Clark Community College. She currently resides in Jerseyville with her daughter, Marceline.
